How I'm ending

When I first started this semester, I was SO excited. Not only was I getting one more semester with the best professor, but my best friend enrolled in the course with me! Going into my second english class, I was so excited to be apart of this class again! I was excited for all the new skills and topics I would learn!

One of my biggest challenges in this course, was myself. I was challenged by myself because of my lack of motivation, and my fear of public speaking. The Socratic seminars really helped me get over that fear and that procrastination. I was so motivated to do my work because I was actually truly intrested. I picked the topic I wanted to research and debate on, therefore I enjoyed spending my time on it. - Yes, this is the same as last semester. However, it was a lot better this semester. Physically and mentally I have really grown as a student and gotten better with my confidence and taking care of myself.

Now that this semester is over, I am sad but fulfilled. I feel so ready and prepared to go into my profession and other courses. She has taught me empathy, mental health practices, and even more importantly real word topics and how to go about them! I owe her everything for shaping me into the student I am!

When I first started this semester, I was so anxious. It was one of my first college classes and I was just filled with so much anxiety. After the first five minutes of being in Mrs. Almaguer's class, all of my nerves went away. Going into this English class, I was preparing myself for endless book reports, and late nights typing essays. I was completely wrong. During my 1301 course, I learned so much more then what I could've from a book and from writing essays.

My socratic seminar topics did not feel like a paper, or like an assignment. The seminars helped me get over my nervousness when public speaking. It helped me hear other peoples thoughts and views out. Not only that, but it helped me realize that no one is judging, in fact they are standing with you. I learned the most in the very start of the semester, when we learned about AI. We learned about the pros, and cons.

After learning, Mrs. Almaguer taught us how to correctly prompt an AI bot. With this, we did numerous projects throughout the course that strengthened my ability to manipulate an AI bot for information. She taught us how to use AI to our advantage and not how to cheat with it. With this, I now have learned how to use an AI bot sort of as a search engine, and now have learned how to manipulate specific answers from the artificial intelligence bots. This has truly helped give me a completely different view on AI, and how it can impact our education and everyday life in a positive way.
